Learn to Cycle Courses
Our bespoke Learn to Cycle courses are made up of 3 levels, each cycle training programme runs over a period of 5 weeks. We are extremely proud to have introduced the very first unique training programme specifically aimed at children from as young as 18 months old. Our vision is to introduce the cycling experience to children as early as possible and our successful programme is equipped to teach children right up to the age of 10 years.
Minibikers Toddler Balanceability
18 months to 4 yearsTailored to suit very young children from 18 months to 4 years, using balance bikes and equipment. This course encourages participation in an early riding experience via balance games and fun interactive activities.
Assists children in developing fine and gross motor skills and to develop skills and confidence in using a variety of balance equipment and balance bikes.
Builds confidence and skill in ability to glide on a balance bike. Focuses on how to stop using a brake, in a controlled manner and manoeuvre safely around objects, gaining confidence within challenging circuits. On completion children are ready for the transition to progress to the Minibikers pedal bike course.
Minibikers Level One Balanceability (Balance Bikes)
3 -10 yearsChildren learn how to ride a pedal bike confidently and independently without the use of stabilisers. It focuses on how to stop using both brakes, in a controlled manner and manoeuvre safely around objects, gaining confidence within challenging circuits.
Children gain a useful life skill that not only improves their physical wellbeing but also their mental wellbeing. Children are equipped to ride a bike to and from school and in their recreational/family time.
