Mini Bikers is a multi award-winning UK training programme dedicated to teaching children aged 18 months to 10 years how to ride a bike confidently, independently, and safely without stabilisers.
Established in 2015, Mini Bikers was created in response to the observation that many children were unable to participate in primary school cycling programmes due to a lack of basic riding balance.
Traditional stabilisers delay natural balance by encouraging children to lean away from turns. We set out to change that by introducing balance bikes and structured play early—fostering confidence, coordination, and a lifelong love for cycling from the very beginning.

As demand grew across the East Midlands, Minibikers transitioned from a one-person initiative to a full team of accredited Balanceability and Bikeability instructors.
Our instructors have extensive background experience supporting children of varying ages directly in primary schools. We ensure that our training is thoroughly inclusive, and our team holds specialist training in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and Early Years Development.
Every instructor is enhanced DBS-checked, fully insured, and passionate about creating an encouraging, patient atmosphere where children thrive.
We deliver programmes to local authorities, primary schools, nurseries, leisure centres, community centres, and community groups across Leicestershire and the wider Midlands.
As our courses expanded, parents asked for bikes matching the quality of our training fleet. To meet this demand, Minibikers Cycles was born—supplying high-grade lightweight bikes from Frog, Ridgeback, Cuda, and Forme, complete with certified helmets and accessories.
We are proud to be the first organisation in the UK to pioneer structured early cycling courses for children as young as 18 months, proving that with the right equipment and guidance, two wheels can come naturally!
