Scootability Training

Minibikers Scootability is a nationwide scooter training program, aimed at helping individuals learn to ride scooters safely. It emphasizes both practical riding skills and essential knowledge, fostering confidence as participants progress.

These courses are offered throughout the UK all year round and are commonly delivered through schools, local councils, and various organizations.

Scootability Level 1

Scootability Level 1 is designed for beginners, introducing pupils to their first scooter experience. The focus is on building foundational skills and knowledge to ensure safe riding.

Key areas covered include:

  • Understanding the parts of the scooter
  • Recognizing essential safety gear
  • Developing balance
  • Pushing and steering techniques
  • Learning how to stop
  • Navigating obstacles effectively
  • 30 minutes sessions, 15 children in a group

These sessions aim to create a confident and safe start for new scooter riders. All equipment is provided

Scootability Level 2

Scootability Level 2 focuses on enhancing spacial awareness, helping riders to navigate safely outside of school environments.

Key skills include:

  • Managing crowded pavements
  • Crossing roads safely
  • Taking blind corners confidently
  • Ensuring the safety of other pavement users
  • Understanding skatepark etiquette
  • Learning some trick skills
  • 30 minutes sessions, 15 children in a group

This level aims to develop more advanced riding skills for safer and more confident scootering in various outdoor settings. All equipment is provided.
